Kamu, sivil toplum ve Birleşmiş Milletler kuruluşları Engelli Göçmenlerin Koruma Hizmetlerine Erişimi Çalıştayları’nda buluştu. Çalıştaylar, Birleşmiş Milletler Nüfus Fonu (UNFPA) koordinasyonunda, Sığınmacılar ve Göçmenlerle Dayanışma Derneği (SGDD/ASAM) ortaklığı ve Avrupa Birliği İnsani Yardım Kurumu’nun finansal desteğiyle yürütülen Engelli Göçmenlerin Koruma Hizmetlerine Erişimlerinin Artırılması Projesi kapsamında Ankara ve İzmir’de gerçekleştirildi. Çalıştayların gündeminde engelli göçmenlerin ihtiyaçları ile hak ve hizmetlerine erişimlerinin artırılması vardı.

Ankara, TÜRKİYE - Türkiye’deki yüzbinlerce mülteci çeşitli engellerle yaşıyor. Pek çoğu, var olan hak ve hizmetlere dair yeterli bilgi sahibi değil veya bunlara erişmekte zorluklarla karşılaşıyor. Tam da bu zorlukları ve uygulanabilir çözüm önerilerini tartışmak amacıyla, Engelli Göçmenlerin Koruma Hizmetlerine Erişimlerinin Artırılması Projesi kapsamında çalıştaylar gerçekleştirildi. 

15 ve 17 Aralık tarihlerinde projenin uygulayıcı ortakları UNFPA Türkiye ve SGDD-ASAM ev sahipliğinde, projenin uygulama illeri Ankara ve İzmir’de gerçekleştirilen çalıştaylar kamu, sivil toplum ve Birleşmiş Milletler kuruluşlarından temsilcileri bir araya getirdi.

    

In the workshops where the needs of immigrants living with disabilities and their caregivers, the problems they face in accessing rights and services, and the steps that can be taken to overcome these problems, were shared between institutions regarding the services provided. In the workshops where the current situation was revealed with real examples from the field, the importance of specialized approaches and the viability and sustainability of solutions were underlined. 

Improving Access of Migrants with Disabilities to Protection Services, carried out in cooperation with UNFPA Turkey and ASAM-ASAM with the financial support of the European Union Humanitarian Aid Agency, continues to support disabled migrants and their caregivers with 2 service units in Ankara and İzmir. Within the scope of the project, disability-friendly mobile vehicles and protection services such as counseling, information, psycho-social support, prevention and intervention against gender-based violence and guidance on accessing other services contribute to the resilience of immigrants with disabilities and their caregivers; They are supported to lead healthier and more equal lives.
