Job Summary

The Programme Analyst/RM Officer substantively contributes to the development and management of a range of activities to ensure resource mobilization for the UNFPA Country Programme, analyses and assesses relevant partner and donor trends and provides substantive inputs to project formulation and evaluation, joint programming initiatives and national development frameworks and guides and facilitates the reporting of UNFPA’s programmes by monitoring results achieved during implementation.

Working within a large and complex Country Office (CO) environment, you will facilitate the work of programme analysts, consultants, advisors, and experts and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with donors and partners in government, multi-lateral and bilateral donor agencies and civil society to address emerging issues.  You must effectively influence donors and partners from diverse backgrounds to jointly contribute to achieving UNFPA’s mandate and you are a substantive contributor to the programme team in the Country Office. You will report to the UNFPA Representative.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: 

  • Advanced degree in social sciences or other related discipline.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Two years professional experience in the field of social development activities required.
  • Proficiency in using office software packages and web-based management systems required.
  • Experience in resource mobilization is preferable.
  • Working experience with an international organization is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with UN procedures and working methods is an advantage.

Languages:

  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Turkish is required.
